This special version of my memento mori design is cast from solid 14k rose gold, with sparkling diamond eyes. Two salt-and-pepper rose-cut diamonds, partially transparent with dark inclusions, have been cast directly into the metal. It's designed for a comfortable fit that stacks well with other rings and won't catch on things while it's worn.
Memento mori as a theme in jewelry has a long history. Translated from Latin, it means "remember death." To me it's a reminder that we all begin and end the same way, to appreciate each moment, look deeply at the world around us, and stay humble.
